Sitting on high ground above the bay, the residence looks out over the lagoon. Driving down takes only a few minutes to reach the shops and restaurants of Simpson Bay, as well as its marinas. Maho beach and Simpson Bay beach are nearby, and Princess Juliana International Airport is close too.
Because of the slope, renting a car for the length of your holiday makes sense. It also lets you drive across the island to Philipsburg or Marigot, or spend a day at a beach on the French side.
Rooftop pool, parking at The Hills Residence
On the roof of The Hills Residence, a swimming pool lined with sun loungers looks out across the lagoon. It is open from 8 am to 8 pm, seven days a week. The residence also has a shared a lobby.
An elevator serves the floors, and guests can leave their car in the private parking. Cameras watch the outside of the buildings.
Through the concierge service, you can have a rental car arranged, reserve a table at a restaurant or set up excursions and activities around Sint Maarten. The team can be reached ahead of your trip and while you are there.
Living in D424 for a weekend or several weeks
The condo comes furnished and equipped, so a short break of a few days works here as easily as a stay that lasts several weeks. One bedroom has a king-size bed, and the other two each have a queen-size bed. All three offer storage and blackout curtains, which helps everyone keep their own space, and there is a TV in the bedroom.
A sofa and a flat-screen TV furnish the living room, while the dining table has room for the whole group at mealtimes. Each of the three bathrooms is fitted with a shower. The balcony holds furniture for two, and from there you can see boats moving across Simpson Bay lagoon as the evening breeze comes in.
Meals are simple to prepare. The kitchen includes an oven, a hob under an extractor hood, a microwave, a dishwasher and a refrigerator. You also get a kettle, a toaster, a blender and an espresso machine. Crockery, cutlery and cooking utensils are provided, as are glasses for wine and champagne.
For longer visits, the condo is air-conditioned, the Wi-Fi connection runs at high speed, and a washer-dryer is there for your laundry. Bathroom essentials, a hair dryer and an iron with its board are supplied. Bed linen comes with towels for both the bath and the beach. Families travelling with a baby can ask for a cot and a high chair.
You enter through an electronic lock. The condo is equipped with detectors for smoke and for carbon monoxide.
Check-in starts at 4 pm and check-out is by 11 am. Up to six guests can stay in D424, which works well for families or for friends travelling together, and staff from The Hills Residence are on site should you need help.
