Getting around Simpson Bay from the hill
Simpson Bay keeps everyday needs close. Restaurants and bars are near the residence, as are supermarkets and the marinas. Simpson Bay beach is a short drive away, and Maho beach and Princess Juliana International Airport are also only minutes off by car.
The residence sits on a hillside, and that height is the reason for its outlook over the lagoon. Renting a car is the sensible choice here. With one, Philipsburg and Marigot are within reach, along with the French side beaches.
Shared facilities of The Hills Residence
The rooftop belongs to the common areas and holds a swimming pool that looks over the lagoon, with sun loungers placed around the water. You can swim there each day from 8 am until 8 pm. The residence also has a common a lobby.
An elevator serves the buildings, parking is private, and cameras watch over the common spaces outside. A concierge service handles practical requests such as car hire, restaurant bookings and island excursions.
Living in D434 for a weekend or several weeks
The layout keeps the bedroom separate from the living room. A king-size bed stands in the bedroom, with hanging space in the closet and curtains that block the light. For meals there is a dining table in the living room, which also has a sofa facing a flat-screen TV. A shower is in the bathroom and the toilet is separate.
The balcony opens off the living room, has outdoor furniture and faces the lagoon. In the kitchen there is a dishwasher, a refrigerator, an oven and a microwave, plus a hob under an extractor hood. Breakfast equipment includes a kettle, a toaster, a blender and an espresso machine. Dishes, cutlery and cooking utensils are supplied, and so are wine and champagne glasses.
Air conditioning and high-speed Wi-Fi are included. Laundry is handled by the washer-dryer, and you also have an ironing board with its iron as well as a hair dryer. The unit is stocked with beach towels as well as bath towels, bed linen and bathroom essentials, and a cleaning product kit is also on hand.
If you travel with an infant, a high chair and a cot for the baby are available on request. Entry is by electronic lock, and both smoke and carbon monoxide detectors are fitted.
Check-in begins at 4 pm and check-out is at 11 am at the latest. The residence team is present on site during your stay. On longer bookings you can add intermediate housekeeping, and extra towels are provided when asked. Ahead of arrival you receive the details for reaching the residence and opening the door.
